A long-standing holiday tradition, George Frideric Handel's classical masterpiece is a true ode to life, celebrated in dazzling style by its unforgettable Hallelujah chorus. Recorded at Montreal's Notre Dame Basilica in December 2010, this condensed version of the oratorio highlights the pages devoted to the Nativity, performed magisterially by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Kent Nagano.
Accompanying four of the world's most beautiful voices – soprano Dominique Labelle, countertenor Daniel Taylor, tenor Michael Schade, and bass Tyler Duncan – are the over 50 professional and 100 amateurs signers comprising the MSO choir, directed by Andrew Megill.
