CONVERSATIONS ON A TRAIN
Every once in a while, a television show comes along that redefines its genre. In French Canada, ON PREND TOUJOURS UN TRAIN POUR LA VIE has done just that. Inspirational, moving and personal, this critically acclaimed wellness interview program has transcended mere popularity to become an integral part of the country's popular culture.
The format of CROSSROADS is simple and elegant. Each week an interviewer and well-known celebrities as well as everyday people, board a train for a very special journey. Their destination? The crossroads of life - those critical moments of adversity and challenge that have altered and redefined their lives forever. The politician who loses her husband to Alzheimer's... the star athlete who overcomes defeat... a United Nations general dealing with the Rwandan genocide.
From the intimate confines of the train as it rolls through a pastoral countryside, each guest shares their innermost feelings on their personal journey of life, from the stops and starts, curves and bumps along the way. The defining moment of each conversation comes when the guest shares what happened to them when they faced a life altering challenge. Confiding in the host, they intimately reveal how they dealt with, survived and eventually grew from their experience when they faced their own personal CROSSROADS.
