Montreal based composer David Adamcyk is currently enrolled in the doctoral composition program at McGill University, under the supervision of Prof. John Rea. In 2005-2006 he had the opportunity to study in Paris with Philippe Leroux, and, during the following academic year, he participated in Ircam’s composition cursus. As part of a Langlois Foundation Visiting Professor research project, he was also the technical assistant for Martin Matalon's composition La Makina, which was premiered at the 2008 MusiMars new music festival in Montreal. He has won four prizes at the SOCAN Foundation composer’s competition, two of which ranked 1st place in the 2007 edition.
Le compositeur montréalais David Adamcyk fait actuellement un doctorat en composition à l’Université McGill, sous la direction du professeur John Rea. La Fondation SOCAN lui a décerné quatre prix au Concours des jeunes compositeurs, dont deux premiers prix en 2007.
Geof Holbrook (born in Guelph (1978), Ontario, Canada), has graduate studies at McGill University. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in composition at Columbia University in New York. He has had works performed in Canada, the Unites States, Brazil and Europe, including performances by the Nouvel Ensemble Moderne, Esprit Orchestra, the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, the Bozzini Quartet, the Allsar Quartet, and more.
He has been awarded seven times in the SOCAN Competition for Young Composers, and was awarded a Prix Opus for "Création de l'Année" in 2007 for his duo for piano and percussion, Trans/Fusion.

Born in Ottawa, Ontario in 1975, Vincent Ho began his musical training through the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). After receiving his Associate Diploma in Piano Performance from the RCM in 1993, he enrolled as a composition major at the University of Calgary. After earning his Bachelor of Music degree, he went on to earn his Master of Music degree from the University of Toronto (1998) and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Southern California (2005). In 1997, he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Schola Cantorum Summer Composition Program in Paris, where he received further training in analysis, composition, counterpoint, and harmony, supervised by David Diamond and Philip Lasser from the Juilliard School of Music and Narcis Bonet from the Paris Conservatoire.
His many awards have included Harvard University’s Fromm Music Commission, The Canada Council for the Arts’ “Robert Fleming Prize” (for most talented young Canadian composer, 2005), The Canadian Music Centre’s “2006 Emerging Composer Prize” and four SOCAN Young Composers awards.

Andrew Staniland (born in Red Deer, AB, lives in Toronto) is a composer and new media performer whose music is performed and broadcast internationally. Andrew’s music has been described as “beautiful and terrifying” (New Yorker Magazine) and he has been described as a composer who “will emerge as one of the most individual voices in this country” (National Arts Centre). He holds a doctorate in composition from the University of Toronto, and has received numerous accolades, including top prizes in the SOCAN young composers competition, and the 2004 Karen Keiser Prize in Canadian Music. His music has represented Canada at both the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers and the ISCM World Music Days. Staniland is currently Affiliate Composer with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.

Gordon Williamson (born in Ottawa (1974)) is a Canadian composer currently based in Berlin. Active in both Europe and North America, recent activities include performances by Ars Nova Copenhagen and the Ålborg Symphony Orchestra (DK), commissions by ensembles such as Alpha (DK) and the Extension Ensemble (NYC), and residencies at the Académie Musicale de Villecroze in France and the Atlantic Center for the Arts in Florida.
The recipient of several awards and prizes for his work, Gordon has most recently received the support of an Artists Stipendium from the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony. Past recognition includes two Professional Musicians Grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, a Susan and Ford Schumann Fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival, and young composer awards from both SOCAN in Canada and ASCAP in the United States.
